Woody Joe 1/75 Kanrin Maru (with Sails) Wooden Model Assembly Kit
This sailing ship, ordered from the Netherlands by the Tokugawa shogunate, was a screw-propelled steamship with a wooden hull.
In 1860, it carried the Japan-US Treaty of Amity and Commerce Exchange Delegation to San Francisco.
This historic sailing ship also served as a voyage for Captain Katsu Kaishu, alongside John Manjiro and Yukichi Fukuzawa.
The kit is comprised primarily of high-precision laser-cut wooden parts, and is a detailed model of the ship in sailing condition with 15 sails.
