Designed for active walking, it's not too soft, but rather provides a firm, ground-responsive feel. While it feels a little firm when you put your foot in, it won't sink in too much, providing a comfortable fit. The distinctive upper is made of sheer ripstop nylon and mesh. The lacing system, visible beneath the ripstop nylon, is an interesting design, featuring a nylon strap running from the sole of the foot like a trail running shoe and a climbing rope-like cord through which the shoelaces pass.
