Equipped with monaural/stereo compatible input/output terminals and a separate XLR microphone input terminal with phantom power. By playing the two tracks alternately, Track 1 and Track 2 can be used to give the song more development, or by playing the two tracks at the same time, you can create complex sound layers. The backlight color of the LCD changes according to playback/recording/overdub/stop, allowing you to check the status at a glance. Additionally, track faders and mic levels can be adjusted directly while playing loop phrases for smooth operation.

With the three foot switches on the main unit, you can easily control recording/playback/stop/track switching, etc. You can also add up to two external footswitches, and freely assign functions to suit your playing style.

Sound input/output and footswitches can be customized to suit the player's needs. For example, you can record left and right input signals on separate tracks, or output guitar and vocal sounds separately. Each footswitch can be freely customized, such as by assigning built-in effects ON/OFF and rhythm play/stop. Customized settings can be saved with phrases and recalled at any time.

Featuring rhythm and LOOP FX, the RC-500 brings a vibrant groove to your performance. By combining 16 types of drum kits and 57 preset rhythms with two variations, you can create rhythm sounds that suit a variety of styles. Additionally, by combining LOOP FX such as REPEAT and SCATTER, you can create even more dynamic live performances. With the innovative Reverse function, you can add unique arrangements to your loop performances.

The RC-500 is equipped with 99 memories, allowing you to save any ideas you come up with on the spot. Saved loop phrases can be backed up via USB. You can also import from your PC using the PC editor BOSS TONE STUDIO. The RC-500 is useful not only for real-time loop performance, but also for practice, live BGM playback, jam sessions, and a variety of other uses.
