Hiromi Iwasaki / WISH
SJX-30016
Released in 1980, this original album features all tracks by Kyohei Tsutsumi. Recorded overseas for the first time, this LA-recorded album captures the West Coast atmosphere of the AOR heyday.
Featured musicians include Victor Feldman (percussion), a Steely Dan session regular; the late Carlos Vega (drums), known for supporting James Taylor; the then-emerging Vinnie Colaiuta (drums); and the late Tommy Morgan, one of America's leading harmonica players, whose work has also featured in films and TV dramas.
The album's relaxed West Coast band ensemble highlights Hiromi Iwasaki's expansive vocals. Features include "Street Dancer," a hit with city pop fans worldwide; "Kiss Again," an arrangement by Tsugutoshi Goto that approaches Urbane; and "Rose," a slower track with a touch of AOR, also by Goto.
Disc: No noticeable damage, and overall in good condition.
