To install, simply remove the screws on the back of the effector and replace the original plate with this underplate. Using this plate allows for smart and reliable fixing to the effect board, and unlike attaching Velcro directly to the rubber, it does not damage the rubber or printed information, so the value of the effector will not be diminished. This plate is made from machined 3.5mm aluminum, and is counter-bored to prevent the screws from popping out even when the plate is installed, so the screws will not interfere with the effector board. Furthermore, in order to be compatible with older types of products, this underplate has a counterbore to prevent interference between the connector part of the AC adapter and the plate, so it can be used by a wide range of users regardless of whether they are new or old. The sturdy aluminum material withstands the stress of pedal operation, yet weighs only 66g, so it does not add to the total weight of the effector. The new version has a conductive sandblasted finish on the panel surface. It has a beautiful finish with excellent corrosion resistance, yet maintains the same electrical conductivity as the original panel. The BOSS compact effector has rubber attached to the bottom to prevent it from slipping when placed on the floor. However, this rubber material is difficult to attach to the effector board with Velcro, and may damage the central print when removed.
