UFO Robo Grendizer Complete Edition (Manga Shop Series)

Popis
UFO Robo Grendizer" is Go Nagai's third series serialized in TV Magazine, following "Mazinger Z" and "Great Mazinger." Since the first installment was linked to the final installment of "Great Mazinger," this book strives to recreate the layout of the magazine as closely as possible. The final installment of "Great" originally featured four pages of illustrations by Shigeru Komatsuzaki, and these remain in their original layout. Furthermore, TV Land and Bokenoh, two of the major publications at the time, also published the final installment of "Grendizer" and the first installment of "Grendizer" simultaneously, suggesting that this flow was carefully planned in advance. TV Magazine's "Grendizer" begins with a monologue by Koji Kabuto. This is clearly a reference to the prologue of "Mazinger Z," which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, and serves to return Koji Kabuto's story to its origins. The early part of the series focuses on the sadness of protagonist Duke Fleed and the vileness of the Vega aliens, carefully building the world of the work by interweaving the story lines of two parts. Incidentally, additional illustrations were added to the first through fifth installments when they were published in Kodansha Comics, further enhancing the story. This book considers the Kodansha Comics manuscripts to be complete, and has included these installments with due respect for the additional illustrations. Furthermore, installments six and beyond have been omitted from previous volumes, making their inclusion in this book its first time. A major change occurred from the ninth installment, when the writer was replaced by Okazaki Masaru, from Nagai Go. This was due to Nagai Go's increased workload, but he continued to actively publish his work in TV Magazine. Nagai continued to create original heroes, including "Garura" (July 1976 to March 1977), "Densoujin Bulbar" (April to October 1977), and "Henchin Pokoider" (serialized irregularly from June 1976 to July 1977). Meanwhile, Okazaki, who took over the series, was clearly the right choice, having previously served as Nagai Go's assistant. Okazaki's penmanship, oriented toward shojo manga, further enhanced the appeal of "Grendizer." In particular, Okazaki's arrangements of Maria, the heroine of the latter half of the series, and Rubina, who appears in the final episode, were captivating. The final episode also features the exploits of Queen Panther, the Vega Beast, a character that was originally conceived but never appeared on TV. The extra story starting on page 375 was originally published in the January 1977 special edition of "TV Magazine," and is a bonus story in which the Dizer team can be seen in their casual clothes. Since the magazine was a continuous story, it was included at the end. In addition, page 405 contains a prologue section that was added for Kodansha Comics, and page 416 is a reprint of the new series announcement page from the September 1975 issue of "TV Magazine.
