Yamaguchi Makoto
Born in Tokyo in 1944. After serving as a secretary for the Japan Origami Association, he is now active as an origami artist. In 1989, he opened the origami gallery "Origami House." From this base, he nurtures young artists and actively interacts with overseas origami organizations and artists. He is Secretary General of the Japan Origami Society, a permanent member of OrigamiUSA, a member of the British Origami Society, an honorary member of the Korea Origami Association, and editor-in-chief of the Japan Origami Society's journal, "Origami Detectives Magazine." Her books include "Elegant Origami" and "Beautiful Origami" (Natsume Publishing), "Chibi Maruko-chan's Origami Class" (Shufunotomosha), "Creative Origami: Monsters, Zodiac Signs, and Cute Animals" (Soshim), "Flower Origami to Enjoy All Year Round" (Nihon Vogue), "The Definitive Origami Encyclopedia Explained with Photos" and "The Ultimate Origami for the New Generation" (Seitosha), and more than 130 books in total.
