Product Introduction
This model recreates the USS Chicago (CG-11), a guided missile cruiser, in 1/700 scale.
Its unique style, characterized by its slim hull and tall bridge, is captured with a finished length of approximately 290mm.
You can choose to assemble it as a full hull model, which recreates the ship's bottom, or as an at-sea model, which recreates the ship from the waterline up.
The shape of the sponsons beneath the hull is faithfully recreated using slide molds.
The superstructure, including the uniquely shaped bridge and funnels, is accurately modeled, along with detailed reproductions of the Talos and Tartar surface-to-air missiles and the ASROC 8-barrel launchers.
Etched parts such as the radar and handrails enhance the finished product.
The Chicago, with its distinctive style among Cold War cruisers, is a noteworthy ship in the model collection.
