When attached to an EOS camera that supports E-TTL auto exposure control, it is possible to set light intensity ratio and control multiple lenses with E-TTL auto exposure control. The settings can be made in 1/2 step from 8:1 to 1:8, and up to 2 groups can be controlled, allowing manual settings when shooting with different flash outputs for each slave on EOS cameras that do not support E-TTL auto exposure control.

AF auxiliary light is a light that illuminates the subject in order to bring it into focus in dark conditions. The Speedlight Transmitter ST-E2 has a built-in AF auxiliary light projection function that supports area AF. It supports autofocusing in dark areas.
