By using magnesium, a lightweight material also used in high-end reel bodies, for the spool, we've succeeded in reducing the weight by approximately 8.8g.
Compared to the 12.0g ultra-super duralumin spool used on the ZENON LTX, which has the same line capacity, this spool is approximately 27% lighter.
A lighter spool reduces the moment of inertia, making it easier to increase rotation speeds and more comfortable to use lightweight lures such as those used in bait finesse fishing.
While magnesium has low corrosion resistance and is not suitable for SW fishing, a special surface treatment ensures corrosion resistance suitable for SW fishing.
Ceramic ball bearings are used in the spool shaft. It provides good rotation start-up and a comfortable casting feel.
