Yamaguchi Makoto Born in Tokyo in 1944. After serving as a secretary for the Japan Origami Association, he is now active as an origami artist. In 1989, he opened the origami gallery "Origami House." From there, he nurtures young artists and actively interacts with overseas origami organizations and artists. He is Secretary General of the Japan Origami Society and a permanent member of OrigamiUSA. He is a member of the British Origami Society and an honorary member of the Korean Origami Association. He is also the editor-in-chief of the Origami Detectives Magazine, the journal of the Japan Origami Society. He has written over 130 books, including "Elegant Origami" and "Beautiful Origami" (Natsume Publishing), "Chibi Maruko-chan's Origami Class" (Shufunotomosha), "Creative Origami: Monsters, Zodiac Signs, and Cute Animals" (Sosim), "Flower Origami to Enjoy All Year Round" (Nihon Vogue), "The Definitive Origami Encyclopedia Explained with Photos" and "The New Generation's Supreme Origami" (Seitosha).
