Miratore: Excellent water repellency and rain resistance
This umbrella series is specialized in functionality, featuring Toray's ultra-water-repellent "Miratore" fabric, which repels water with exceptional ease. The fine-denier, high-density weave allows for incredibly quick water wicking, eliminating the need for worrying about water droplets when the umbrella is folded. The fabric is soft to the touch, easy to pack, and lightweight for a slim silhouette. This series pursues both functionality and simple beauty.
An umbrella that can be used reliably on long rainy days
The fabric of "Miratore" is treated with water-repellent and water-resistant processing.
Use it as an umbrella on long rainy days.
Compact and lightweight, it opens up big and is highly functional.
It is the same size as a men's long umbrella at 65cm, but thanks to its lightweight and durable three-fold carbon fiber ribs, it can be folded down to just 32cm.
It can be stored compactly, so it won't take up much space in your bag even if you usually carry a lot of luggage.
umbrella bone
The ribs are made of ultra-lightweight and hard carbon material.
Carbon is very hard, lightweight, and does not rust, which is why it is used in airplane parts, etc.
Due to its high price, it is a material that is only used for luxury items.
Handle (handle)
I use maple.
The handle is made of maple, a highly durable and shock-resistant wood, and is shaped into a cylindrical shape, with a painted finish to create a luxurious feel.

"Introduction to Komiya Shoten"
Each piece is made with care by a craftsman
These umbrellas are made with care by artisans, always thinking about the user and paying attention to the details.
"Rokuromaki" is a method of covering the roller with fabric to prevent hands from getting hurt when opening the umbrella.
"Dabomaki" is a technique that protects the dabo, the part of the bone that touches the dough, with dough.
The name tag is hand-sewn to prevent damage to the fabric.
A "jinbaori" with a cap to further improve its waterproofness.
The "tension" of the umbrella is designed to pursue the beauty of form.
After going through many processes, about 4 to 5 umbrellas are completed each day.
We inherit traditional techniques and make each product carefully, without compromising on time-consuming tasks.
Finally, we thoroughly inspect the product using our skilled techniques and intuition, attach the handle, and deliver it to the customer.
The materials that make up the umbrella, such as the fabric, handle, and ribs, are carefully selected to be more user-friendly, safe, durable, and of high quality, and Komiya Shoten's umbrellas are made in Japan with a focus on the ``quality of construction'' of the umbrella itself.
